We advertised the meeting in the June/Ju(y Wrap, mailed almost 100 postcards to community groups, and posted signs at the Open House and in City buildings. The Roseville Review and the Pioneer Press ran articles about the public meeting. Approximately 74 people attended the meeting and many catled or sent emails or letters. Copies are attached. (Email addresses are redacted, but they are available for Council Members if they want.) lt is interesting that the ernails and letters contain more specific listing of amenities, so I hope planners will review those carefully. Council Member Kough began the meeting by introducing himself, City staff, the Parks and Recreation Commission Chair and past Council members in the audience. He gave a few comments about what he has been hearing about a Community Center. He then tumed the meeting over to me. After some preliminary questions about the history and the whys and wherefores of a Community Center, participants gave feedback on amenities, location, cost, negatives and general comments. Council Member Schroeder also attended the meeting. He spoke briefly, thanking everyone for attending the meeting and encouraging fiuther community input. Mayor Kysylyczyn came to the meeting shortly before it ended. Participants signed an attendance sheet. Most indicated they want to be notified of additional meetings concerning this topic. Several indicated that they are willing to serve on a task force, if the Council establishes one. Comments from the meeting are attached. • Page 1
