We have frequent� both the Shoreview and Maplewood Community Centers and find that they aze almost always busy - too busy to accommodate many families. I'm sure our community as well as residents from surrounding communities can support this facility. We have lived in Roseville for over 20 years. The Oval has been a major disappointment for us as it provides very limited options for residents. A Community Center truly can serve the entire population of residents from toddlers to seniors. Facilities we would like to see in a new Community Center include; * swimming pool - a family pool similar to Shoreview Community Ctr pool with shallow end for younger children and a deeper area for older kids with a slide; lap pool for serious swimmers; * tennis courts; * running track; * exercise room; and * teen center A well managed facility would include instructor resources for classes, lessons, etc. These resources could also be a collaboration with e�isting resources �vithin Roseville Parks & Recreation course offerings. A community survey could provide important feedback on their best and worst experiences with other facilities to aid in developing a Community Center that would serve a large portion of the community population.
