HUMAN RIGHTS ESSAY
My role in the partnership is to help people in need or who are subject to prejudice
by treating them with the same respect that I receive or should give. I believe, like the
partnership, that everyone deserves a fair chance at housing, employment, public
accommodations, modations, public service, education, and credit. Although my role is a small one,
because I any such a small part of the community, I can still fight for what I believe in by
writing to the city or state telling them what I believe in these natters, also I can take part
in group organizations to shelter the homeless. Another activity is to involve each
individual, no natter what color", religion, sex, or age, in public services and
accommodations because in my mind the lack of these,, due to prejudice, lets crime go
unnoticed and puts people out on the streets. If we as a community cone together to try
to solve these problems ergs eve will feel getter because we will be making others look and feel
better.
Our community is fulfilling its partnership by giving the right attention to all of
these different areas of discrimination. The things that I notice the community doing to
help are: making handicapped parking and ramps, making publ schooling available to all
no matter what their financial stags, letting anyone into restaurants and hotels or motels,
giving jobs to all no utter what race or sex, and keeping the streets and the community
clean. All in all, I think the community is waging an above par fight against discrimination
and I plan on keeping it that way.
John Muss
