EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 8th day of November, <br /> 2010, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> The following members were present: Pust, Johnson, Roe, Ihlan and Klausing. <br /> and the following were absent: none. <br /> Member Roe introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION No. 10856 <br /> Resolution Relating to the Administration and Implementation of a Traffic Safety <br /> Grant by the Roseville Police Department <br /> WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety has continued to promote <br /> efforts to reduce traffic accidents through the funding of City enforcement <br /> efforts, specifically Safe and Sober Programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety has established local traffic <br /> safety projects for the Federal Fiscal Year of 2010 to 2011 to achieve the <br /> above stated purpose, promoting law enforcement and traffic safety; and <br /> WHEREAS, as a part of a larger grant to the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office, the <br /> Roseville Police department is eligible to receive approximately $52,000 <br /> in reimbursement for participation beginning October 1, 2010 through <br /> September 30, 2011 to offset increased personnel overtime cost for traffic <br /> enforcement; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office and <br /> the Roseville Police Department enter into a grant agreement with the <br /> Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Study for the <br /> project entitled SAFE SOBER during the period from October 2010 <br /> through September 2011. The SHERIFF of RAMSEY COUNTY is hereby <br /> authorized to execute such agreements and amendments as are necessary <br /> to implement the project on behalf of the ROSEVILLE POLICE <br /> DEPARTMENT and to be the fiscal agent and administer the grant. <br />
