Thank you Pat for your <br /> efforts to include us in this process. We were, however, <br /> very disappointed when the panel voted 6 to 1 to recommend <br /> this use permit. We are pretty sure that most, if not all <br /> the members would not want a business with 40 dogs(with <br /> the possibility of 80 in 2 years), in an old, <br /> non compliant building 4 feet from their yards, with <br /> virtually no buffer from the immanent "woofs" and odors <br /> that will certainly spill from indoors and outdoors. We <br /> are very concerned for the reasons we stated to the <br /> planning commission. <br /> As you may know, we as residents have struggled over the <br /> years(mostly futilely) to live harmoniously with the light <br /> industry which abut our homes /properties. Among our <br /> biggest frustrations is the fact that it falls to us to <br /> attempt(without much success) to police the codes and <br /> conditional use permits of these properties due to the <br /> failure of the city to both approve harmonious usage and <br /> to fail to enforce the codes, buffers, use permits, etc. <br /> 1 <br />
