The proposed asphalt plant and outdoor storage will emit toxic pollutants, <br /> including carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, lead, particulate matter (including <br /> particulate matter smaller than 10 microns), sulfur dioxide, and volatile organic <br /> compounds, which will add to public health risks for residents, businesses, and <br /> others in the surrounding community. These toxic pollutants will also heighten <br /> health dangers for sensitive populations, including seniors, children, and people <br /> with respiratory and other illnesses. <br /> 9 <br />
