<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF 11-IE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD OCTOBER 4, 1971 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />rreeting of the Village C01.IDcil of the Village of Roseville, <br />Ramsey Cotmty, Minnesota, was duly held in the Village Hall, 2701 <br />North Lexington Avenue, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, the 4th <br />day of October, 1971. <br /> <br />. The following members were present: Acting ~ilayor <br />Lll1ebarger, Councilmen Anderson, Curley and Grauel <br /> <br />and the following were absent: r-hyor ~loll <br /> <br />Member Curley introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5755 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RELATING TO REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA <br />HIQ-lWAY DEPARTMENT TO TAKE ACTION TO IMPROVE <br />THE SAFElY OF lHE INTERSECTION OF LYDIA AND <br />SNELLING AVENUES <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Cotmcil of the Village <br />of Roseville, as follows: <br /> <br />WlIEREAS, the intersection of Lydia and Snelling Avenues <br />is considered to be a danderous hazzard to motorist; and <br /> <br />WHERFAS, there have been many accidents that have <br />already occurred at Lydia and Snelling; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of all to improve <br />the safety of our roads; <br /> <br />NOW TI-IEREFORE, THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF <br />OOSEVILLE does hereby request the Minnesota Highway Department <br />to take the following action: <br /> <br />a. Conduct a study of speed limits on Snelling Avenue; <br />b. Conduct a study to determine the feasibility of <br />placing traffic semaphores at Lydia and Snelling <br />c. Take all necessary action to expedite the const- <br />ruction of the Lydia-Snelling overpass. <br />
