EXTRACT OF l\lINU113S OF MEETING OF TIlE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF TIlE VILLAGE OF ROSb\TILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD February 28, 1972 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village COtll1cil of the Village of Roseville, Mirmesota, was duly held at the Village Hall in said Village on Monday, the 28th day of February 1972, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, Councilmen Brennan, Cutley, Grauel and Anderson and the following were absent: None COtD1cilman Curley the following resolution: introduced and moved the adoption of HESOLtITION NO. 5 81 7 RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO ENTER INTO A JOINT POWEHS AGHEfl.IENT TO FORM A MUNI CIPAL INFOl~\1ATION SYSTEM WHEREAS, the Village Council of Roseville has determined that there is a need by municipalities in the State of Minnesota for a coordinated approach to meeting municipal nee(~ for electronic data processing; and WHEREAS, it is determined by this Council that the development of a data processing system, as opposed to individllal applications of computerized mita processing, is an objective of this and other munici- palities; and ~vHEREAS, the cost of developing and maintaining such a sys tern is excessive for anyone municipality'; and WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Village of Hoseville to utilize an integrated clata processing system as and when it becomes operationally feasible; and WHEllliAS, Section 471. 59, Mbmesota Statutes, authorizes joint exercise by two or more public agencies of any pawer common to them; and WlfEHEAS, it is the desire of the Village of Roseville to jointly provide for and maintain a data processing system for mutal advantage and concern;
