<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE CaJNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESarA, HELD October 30, 1972 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meet ing <br />of the Village COlmcil of the Village of Roseville, Ramsey County, <br />Minnesota, was held in the Village Hall at 2701 North Lexington <br />Avenue, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, October 30, 1972, at <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, <br />Councilmen Brennan, Curley, Grauel and Anderson <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Curley introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5891 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of Roseville was an early <br />supporter of the Metropolitan Council, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of Roseville continues to be <br />interested and concerned about "metropolitan problems", and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has approved policy positions <br />regarding Sewer Authority Charges and federal grant applications; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council is considering expanding <br />its "Policy 13" to include all federal, state and private grants to <br />local government, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has announced its plans <br />for an expanding local role if Minnesota Legislative approval can be <br />gained, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of Roseville is concerned over <br />the respective future roles of the Metropolitan Council and local <br />municipal government in the eight county Twin City Metropolitan Area, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville Village <br />Council support the Chairman of the Minnesota House Committee on <br />Government Operations in his call for hearings on the present perfonn- <br />ance and future course of the Metropolitan Council. <br />
