EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE CaJNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESarA, HELD October 30, 1972 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meet ing of the Village COlmcil of the Village of Roseville, Ramsey County, Minnesota, was held in the Village Hall at 2701 North Lexington Avenue, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, October 30, 1972, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, Councilmen Brennan, Curley, Grauel and Anderson and the following were absent: None Member Curley introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 5891 WHEREAS, the Village Council of Roseville was an early supporter of the Metropolitan Council, and WHEREAS, the Village Council of Roseville continues to be interested and concerned about "metropolitan problems", and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has approved policy positions regarding Sewer Authority Charges and federal grant applications; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council is considering expanding its "Policy 13" to include all federal, state and private grants to local government, and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has announced its plans for an expanding local role if Minnesota Legislative approval can be gained, and WHEREAS, the Village Council of Roseville is concerned over the respective future roles of the Metropolitan Council and local municipal government in the eight county Twin City Metropolitan Area, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville Village Council support the Chairman of the Minnesota House Committee on Government Operations in his call for hearings on the present perfonn- ance and future course of the Metropolitan Council.
