EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD JANUARY 29, 1973 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, was held in the Village Hall on Monday, January 29, 1973, at 7:30 P.H. The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, Councilmen Anderson, Brennan, Curley, Grauel and the following were absent: None Member Curley introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLlITION NO. 5919 WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of Rosevi1le, Minnesota, regards the question of a unicameral or bi-cameral legislature as an important one that should be decided by the people of the State of ~1innesota; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, that the Legislature should act to put the questions of a constitutional amendment regarding creation of a unicameral legislature on the ballot at the 1974 General Election, the amendment to take effect in 1977, and to be worded in such a way that the tenn of office would be four years and only half of the entire Legislature would be elected in anyone year. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Linebarger and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All present and the following voted against same: None WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
