EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF THE VI LlAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD March 12, 1973 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Village Cm.n1cil of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, was held in the Village Hall on Monday, March 12, 1973, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, Councilmen Curley, Grauel, Anderson and Brennan and the following were absent: None Member Curley and moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution RESOLUTION NO. 5925 WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Legislature is presently considering a bill which would permit the use of Twin Trailer Trucks on certain roadways in Minnesota; AND WHEREAS, the use of twin trailers is needed to provide necessary transportation services to many areas of the state; AND WHEREAS, a majority of the states currently permit the use of twin trailers; AND WHEREAS, the use of twin trailers should save time and, therefo:re, reduce the cost of service tOl.:tae customer; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it Resolved that the Village. Council of Roseville, Minnesota, hereby urges the Minnesota State Legis- lature to pass legislation which would permit the use of twin trailers on designated roadways within the state; AND FURfHER resolves that the Village of Roseville, being a major trucking center should be permitted to designate which roadways in the Village, other than state highways, shall be used by twin trailer trucks. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Brennan and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Curley, Anderson, Brennan and Linebarger and the following voted against same: Grauel WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
