EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD November 12, 1973 * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Ro seville, Minne sota, wa s duly called and held at the Village Hall in said Village on Monday, November 12, 1973, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, Councilmen Anderson, Brennan, Curley and Grauel and the following members were absent: None Member Brennan and moved its adoption: introduced the following Resolution RESOLUTION NO. 6046 WHEREAS, the Village of Roseville because of its unique geographical setting, has located within its borders, the majority of over-the-road and local truck terminals serving the Twin Ci tie s area, and WHEREAS, an inordinate number of large and heavy trucks and trailers use roadways located within the limits of the Village of Roseville as a means of ingress to and egress from such truck terminals, and WHEREAS, such trucks and trailers constitute a significant annoyance to the health, safety and welfare of residence of the Village of Roseville living on such roadways and the constant use of some roadways by such heavy trucks and trailers has a detrimental affect upon the roadways, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, that state representatives and senators with districts in the Village of Roseville are requested to sponsor special legislation giving the Village Council of the Village of Roseville authority to designate truck routes on roadways within the Village limits and to prohibit the use of other roadways by heavy trucks and trailers except when on local business. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Anderson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All present and the following voted against: None
