<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE <br />COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD <br />November 12, 1973 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the Village Council of the Village of Ro seville, Minne sota, wa s <br />duly called and held at the Village Hall in said Village on Monday, <br />November 12, 1973, at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, Councilmen <br />Anderson, Brennan, Curley and Grauel <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Member Brennan <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following Resolution <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6046 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Roseville because of its unique <br />geographical setting, has located within its borders, the majority of <br />over-the-road and local truck terminals serving the Twin Ci tie s area, <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an inordinate number of large and heavy trucks and <br />trailers use roadways located within the limits of the Village of Roseville <br />as a means of ingress to and egress from such truck terminals, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such trucks and trailers constitute a significant <br />annoyance to the health, safety and welfare of residence of the <br />Village of Roseville living on such roadways and the constant use of <br />some roadways by such heavy trucks and trailers has a detrimental <br />affect upon the roadways, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />that state representatives and senators with districts in the <br />Village of Roseville are requested to sponsor special legislation giving <br />the Village Council of the Village of Roseville authority to designate <br />truck routes on roadways within the Village limits and to prohibit the use <br />of other roadways by heavy trucks and trailers except when on local <br />business. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Member Anderson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: All present <br />and the following voted against: None <br />
