<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD JUNE 24, 1974 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly <br />called and held at the City Hall at 7: 30 P.M., Monday, June 24, <br />1974. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Acting Mayor Brennan, <br />Councilmen Curley, Demos and Hess <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Linebarger <br /> <br />Member Curley <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6118 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, certain members of the Rosevi11e Police Department <br />have joined Local 320 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters <br />and certain members of the Roseville Street Division of the Public <br />Works Department, along with certain members of the Roseville Utility <br />Division of the Public Works Department, and certain members of the <br />Roseville Parks & Recreation Department, have joined Local 49 of <br />the International Union of Operating Engineers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has recognized the above two Union <br />organizations as the sole representatives for those employees who <br />have joined the above unions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these Unions are represented by business agents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of maintaining proper <br />relationships with the above named Unions and their respective <br />business agents; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that in negotiations to be con- <br />ducted between Local 320 lET and Local 49 IUOE, that the City Council <br />appoint the City Manager, or his agent, to be the City representative <br />in any and all forthcoming negotiations for the year 1975. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />duly seconded by Member Demos and upon a vote being taken thereon, <br />the following voted in favor thereof: All present <br /> <br />and the following voted against same: None <br /> <br />WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
