<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF TIm CI1Y COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD NOVEMBER 25, 1974 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota,was duly <br />called and held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, November 25, <br />1974, at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: ~1ayor Linebarger, <br />Councilmen Demos, Hess and Brennan <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: Councilman Curley <br /> <br />Member Hess <br />moved its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6185 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Minnesota, did <br />approve on May 21, 1973, House File 217, Chapter 464 of the 1973 Law <br />relating to the City of Roseville Firemen's Relief Association Service <br />Pensions by amending Laws 1965, Chapter 598, Section 1, Sub. 1, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville and the Firemen's Relief <br />Association both desire that one further change be made in the <br />language now embodied in Chapter 464; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Roseville, that the State Legislators representing the City <br />of Roseville be requested to introduce legislation in the 1975 Session <br />to amend Laws 1973, Chapter 464, Section 2, to read as follows: <br /> <br />"The City Council shall have a power by ordinance <br />to increase the service pensions authorized by <br />Section 1, for twenty (20) years service to a maximum <br />of $180 per month plus $9.00 per month for each year of <br />service in excess of twenty (LO) years up to a maximum <br />of $270 per month. Such ordinance if enacted shall apply <br />to members retiring prior to or after the effective date <br />of the ordinance and no increase shall be granted unless <br />justified by an actuarial survey." <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />duly seconded by member Demos and upon a vote being taken, the <br />following voted in favor of the resolution: All present <br />
