<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />HELD - February 24, 1975 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota,was duly <br />held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, the 24th day of <br />February, 1975, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, <br />Councilmen Curley Demos, Hess, Brennan <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Linebarger introduced and moved the adoption of <br />the following resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6218 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has been informed that the <br />Ramsey County Board is proposing legislation that would permit the <br />establishment of a county wide ambulance service and a county wide <br />paramedic program, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such proposed legislation will be soon considered <br />by the Ramsey County Legislative Delegation, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to communicate its <br />position to the Ramsey County Board and the Ramsey County Delegation <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Roseville <br />is opposed to proposed legislation that would permit the establishment <br />of a County wide ambulance service and a county wide paramedic program <br />for the following reasons: <br /> <br />1. The City of Roseville is not aware of any information <br />indicating the cost, quality or level of such emergency <br />medical services that may be provided under the pro- <br />posed legislation. <br /> <br />2. The proposed legislation does not recognize the <br />emergency care services presently being provided by <br />the City of Roseville and other suburban municipalities <br /> <br />3. The proposed legislation should not be further <br />considered, particularly, if the County Board does <br />not have a definitive plan for providing such <br />services. <br />
