<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City ofRoseville, <br />County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, <br />Minnesota, on Monday, the fourteenth day of November, 1994, at 5:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, Goedeke, P. Johnson, Wiski, and V. Johnson and the <br />following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Mastel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9132 <br /> <br />APPLICATION FOR GRANT FROM MBGIC <br />JOINT USE STREET MATERIAL RECYCLING FACILITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County and Cities within Ramsey County sweep public roadways on a regular <br />basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each jurisdiction is finding it increasingly difficult to dispose of the material collected from <br />street sweeping due to increased urban and environmental pressures; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the cost to landfill street sweeping is continuing to rise; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, governments within Ramsey County are committed to providing service to the citizens in <br />the most efficient manner possible; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City ofRoseville supports the formation of a shared <br />Ramsey County maintenance material recycling facility; <br /> <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Roseville supports the award of grant monies from <br />the Minnesota Board of Government Innovation and Cooperation to purchase the necessary equipment <br />to establish the needed recycling facility. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Goedeke <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mastel, Goedeke, P. Johnson, <br />Wiski, and V. Johnson and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
