<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD May 19, 1975 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly <br />called and held at the City Hall in said City on May 19, 1975. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, <br />Councilmen Brennan, Curley, Demos and Hess <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Curley introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6265 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO FILE THE 5 YEAR PROGRAM <br />FOR PARKS AND RECREATION IMPROVEMENTS WITH THE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA, OFFICE OF LOCAL AND URBAN AFFAIRS <br />OF THE STATE PLANNING AGENCY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act (LAWCON) <br />and the State Natural Resources Fund provide for grants to assist <br />local public bodies in the acquisition and development of outdoor <br />recreation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Rules and Regulations for LAWCON and the State <br />Natural Resources Fund provide criteria that applications must meet; <br />a~ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order for the proposed project to be eligible for <br />approval, there must be proof that it is part of a comprehensive outdoor <br />recreation plan and 5-year action program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the City of Roseville has a 5 year action program, <br />which includes additions to Central Park. <br /> <br />NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE. that the Mayor of the City of Roseville is hereby <br />authorized to file this 5 year action program for parks and recreation <br />improvements with the State of Minnesota, Office of Local and Urban <br />Affairs of the State Planning Agency. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />duly seconded by Member Demos and upon a vote being taken the <br />following voted in favor thereof: All present <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: None <br /> <br />WHEREUPON. said resolution was duly passed and adopted. <br />
