<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD JUNE 9, 1975 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular <br />meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly <br />called and held at the City Hall in said City on MOnday, June 9, 1975 <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Linebargen~ <br />Councilmen Curley, Demos, Hess and Brennan <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Curley <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6270 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SURRPORT OF REENACTMENT OF <br />FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville was an early supporter <br />of the concept of Federal Revenue Sharing, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville continues to be committed to <br />the belief that revenue sharing is an equitable and fair means of financ- <br />ing local government services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, National Revenue Sharing is essential to preserve <br />our federal system, vital to the ability of state and local governments <br />to set goals, make decisions, and be responsive to the needs of their <br />citizens and basic to the resolution of the principal domestic problems <br />confronting America; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Roseville <br />urges Senators Mondale and Humphrey and Representative Karth to endorse <br />and co-sponsor the Revenue Sharing Reenactment Legislation S-1625 and <br />HR 6558, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville drges <br />Congress to establish Reenactment of Revenue Sharing during calendar <br />year 1975 as the specific legislative goal of the 94th Congress. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution <br />was duly seconded by Member Demos and upon a vote being taken the <br />following voted in favor thereof: All present <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: None <br />
