EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD JUNE 9, 1975 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on MOnday, June 9, 1975 The following members were present: Mayor Linebargen~ Councilmen Curley, Demos, Hess and Brennan and the following were absent: None Member Curley and moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution RESOLUTION NO. 6270 RESOLUTION IN SURRPORT OF REENACTMENT OF FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING WHEREAS, the City of Roseville was an early supporter of the concept of Federal Revenue Sharing, and WHEREAS, the City of Roseville continues to be committed to the belief that revenue sharing is an equitable and fair means of financ- ing local government services; and WHEREAS, National Revenue Sharing is essential to preserve our federal system, vital to the ability of state and local governments to set goals, make decisions, and be responsive to the needs of their citizens and basic to the resolution of the principal domestic problems confronting America; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Roseville urges Senators Mondale and Humphrey and Representative Karth to endorse and co-sponsor the Revenue Sharing Reenactment Legislation S-1625 and HR 6558, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville drges Congress to establish Reenactment of Revenue Sharing during calendar year 1975 as the specific legislative goal of the 94th Congress. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Demos and upon a vote being taken the following voted in favor thereof: All present and the following voted against the same: None
