<br />RESOLUTION NO. 640 <br /> <br />ACCEPTING BID FOR WATER IMPROVEMENT 62-1 PROJECT 1 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for construction of a steel <br />water tank, water improvement 62-1, Project 1, bids were received, opened <br />and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received <br />complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />Pittsburg-Des Moines Steel Co. <br />Chicago Bridge and Iron Co. <br /> <br />$237,000 <br />245,000 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Pittsburg-Des Moines Steel Company of <br />Des Moines, Iowa, is the lowest responsible bidder, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into the attached contract with Pittsburg-Des Moines <br />Steel Co. of Des Moines, Iowa, in the name of the Village of <br />Roseville for the construction of a steel water tank, <br />Improvement 62-1, Project 1 according to the plans and <br />specifications therefor approved by the Village Council and on <br />file in the office of the Village Clerk. <br /> <br />2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return <br />forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, <br />except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Village Council this 15th day of October 1962. <br /> <br />SEAL <br /> <br />(}~~ <br />/' Actlng C erk <br />
