<br />FOR WATER IMPROVEMENT NO. 62-1

<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota will meet in the
<br />Auditorium of the Alexander Ramsey High School in said Village on Friday, October 4, 1963, at 8:00
<br />o'clock P.M. to hear, consider and pass upon any and all written or oral objections which may be offered
<br />with respect to the proposed special assessments for Water Improvement No. 62-1. The proposed assess-
<br />ment roll is now on file and open to public inspection by all persons interested, in the office of the Vil-
<br />lage Clerk. The entire amount assessed against each parcel of land will be payable, unless prepaid, in
<br />twenty (20) equal consecutive annual installments, the first of such installments to be payable with gen-
<br />eral taxes for the year 1963, collectible with such taxes during the year 1964. The first installment will
<br />be payable with interest at the rate of five percent (5%) per annum on the entire assessment from the date
<br />of the resolution levying the same to December 31, 1964, and each subsequent installment will be pay-
<br />able with one year's interest at said rate on all unpaid installments, except that no interest will he
<br />charged if the entire assessment as to any parcel is paid at the office of the Treasurer within thirty (30)
<br />days from the date of adoption of the assessment roll.

<br />The general nature of Water Improvement No. 62-1 consists of the construction of a booster station,
<br />elevated storage tank, distribution and feeder mains, lateral mains, hydrants, controls, service connec-
<br />tions, water metering devices, and other facilities for the supply and distribution of water within the
<br />area described below, to be obtained from a connection with the water system of the City of St. Paul
<br />under 0 cooperative agreement to be entered into by the Village Council and the City Council, and from
<br />other available sources.

<br />The area proposed to be assessed for the improvement includes the properties situated within the fol-
<br />lowing described boundary:
<br />
<br />Commencing at the center of the intersection of Larpenteur Avenue and Rice Street, which point is
<br />also the southeast corner of Section 13, Township 29, Range 23, and which point is also the southeast
<br />corner of the Village of Roseville; thence northerly along the center line of Rice Street, approxi-
<br />mately 5,767 feet to the center line of State Trunk Highway #36 as it now exists; thence westerly
<br />along the center line of aforesaid Trunk Highway #36 approximately 3 miles to its intersection with
<br />Snelling Avenue, which point is also the east line of Section 9, Township 29, Range 23, and lying
<br />1,464 feet northerly of the southeast corner of said Section 9; thence northerly along the east line of
<br />said Section 9, and continuing northerly along the east line of Section 4, Township 29, Range 23,
<br />approximately 3,849 feet to the center line of the Northern Pacific Railway Company's right-of-way
<br />whi ch point lies 34.25 feet northerly of the southeast corner of said Section 4; thence westerly along
<br />the center line of said Northern Pacific Railway Company's right-of-way approximately 3,540 feet
<br />to a point lying 435 feet east of the east line of the southwest quarter (1/4) of the southwest quarter
<br />(1/4) of said Section 4; thence southerly 620 feet; thence westerly 435 feet to a point on the east
<br />line of the northwest quarter (1/4) of the northwest quarter 0/4) of above said Section 9; thence
<br />southerly, approximately 820 feet to the center of the northwest quarter (1/4) of aforesaid Section 9;
<br />thence continuing southerly approximately 2,490 feet to the center line of aforesaid Trunk Highway
<br />#36; thence westerly along the center line of aforesaid Trunk Highway #36, approximately three
<br />quarters (3/4) mile to the intersection with the center line of Fulham Street; thence continuing west-
<br />erly and parallel with the south line of Section 8, Township 29, Range 23, approximately 1,680 feet
<br />to the easterly line of the Minnesota Transfer Railway Company's right-of-way; thence southwesterly
<br />along the easterly line of Minnesota Transfer Railway Company's right-of-way approximately 1,800
<br />feet to its intersection with the south line of said Section 8; thence westerly along the south line of
<br />said Section 8, approximately 20 feet to the southwest corner of said Section 8, said point also being
<br />the northwest corner of Section 17, Township 29, Range 23; thence southerly along the west line of
<br />said Section 17, approximately 1,970 feet to the southwest corner of the Village of Roseville; thence
<br />easterly along the south limits of the Village of Roseville approximately 2,000 feet to the center line
<br />of Pleasant Street; thence south along the center line of Pleasant Street approximately 659 feet to
<br />the center line of Roselawn Avenue; thence easterly along the center line of Roselawn Avenue,
<br />which line is also the south limits of the Village of Roseville, approximately 11,204 feet to the in-
<br />tersection of Roselawn Avenue and Hamline Avenue, which point is also the center of Section 15,
<br />Township 29, Range 23; thence southerly along the center line of Hamline Avenue, approximately
<br />one half (1/2) mile to the intersection with the center ljne of Lorpenteur Avenue, which point is also
<br />the southwest corner of the southeast quarter (1/4) of said Section 15; thence easterly along the
<br />center line of Larpenteur Avenue approximately 2-1/2 miles to the center of the intersection of
<br />larpenteur Avenue and Rice Street, the point of beginning.
