<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITI COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD DECEMBER 15, 1975 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* * <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* * * * * <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular <br />meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, <br />was duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, <br />December 15, 1975. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Linebarger, <br />Councilmen Hess, Brennan, Curley and Demos <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Demos <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6328 <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF REENACTMENI' OF <br />FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING <br /> <br />\~REAS, the City of Roseville was an early supporter <br />of the concept of Federal Revenue Sharing, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville continues to be committed <br />to the belief that revenue sharing is an equitable and fair means of <br />financing local government services; and <br /> <br />WHERFAS, National Revenue Sharing is essential to preserve <br />our federal system, vital to the ability of state and local governments <br />to set goals, make decisions, and be responsive to the needs of their <br />citizens and basic to the resolution of the principal domestic problems <br />confronting America; <br /> <br />NOW, 1HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Roseville <br />urges Senators M:mdale and Htnnphrey and Representative Karth to <br />endorse and co-sponsor the Revenue Sharing Reenactment Legislation S-1625 <br />and HR 6558, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville urges <br />Congress to consider and adopt reenactment of Revenue Sharing as soon <br />as possible, and <br />
