<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF THE CIIT COUNCIL OF <br />ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD May 17, 1976 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular <br />meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, <br />was duly called and held at the City Hall at 7:30 P.M., Monday, <br />May 17, 1976. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Demos, <br />COlmci1men Anderson, Curley, Grauel and Hess <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Curley introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RE&lWTION NO. 6374 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, certain members of the Rosevi11e Police Department <br />have joined Local 320 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters <br />and certain members of the Rosevi11e Street Division of the Public <br />Works Department, along with certain members of the Rosevi11e Utility <br />Division of the Public Works Department, and certain members of the <br />Rosevi11e Parks & Recreation Department, have joined Local 49 of the <br />International Union of Operating Engineers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Comcil has recognized the above two <br />Union organizations as the sole representatives for those employees <br />who have joined the above mions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these Unions are represented by business agents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of ~2intaining proper <br />relationships with the above named Unions and their respective business <br />agents; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that in negotiations to be <br />conducted between Local 320 IBT and Local 49 IUOE, that the City Council <br />appoint the City Manager, or his agent, to be the City representative <br />in any and all forthcoming negotiations for the year 1976. <br />
