EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF tvlEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD SEPTEMBER 13, 1976 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive, in said City, on Monday, the 13th day of September, 1976, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Demos, Councilmen Anderson, Curley, Grauel and Hess and the following were absent: None Councilman Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 6417 WHEREAS, several years ago the State Highway Department turned back Lexington Avenue to Ramsey COlmty and provided flIDding to bring this roadway up to standard; and WHEREAS, substantial time and effort have been put into selecting the appropriate method of bringing this roadway up to standard; and WHEREAS, the most recent Citizen Committee Plan for provid- ing a basic four lane facility with a minimum of left turn slots and center medians would appear to meet at least the irrrnediate needs for Lexington Avenue; and WHEREAS, there is also a need to make provisions for the non-motorized public along this facility, but adequate information and proposals are not presently available for this aspect of the overall plan; and WHEREAS, the public input on this proposal should have a forum to be heard; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville hereby gives conceptual approval to the recent Citizen Committee plan for upgrading Lexington Avenue through Roseville. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a need exists for providing safe facilities for non-motorized public along this same corridor, but additional information is still needed before actual conclusion can be drawn regarding this point;
