EXTRAcr OF MINUTES OF REGUIAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESarA - HELD JANUARY 10, 1977 * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular rreeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on the lOth day of January, 1977, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The follCMing rrembers were present: Mayor DeIros, Council.Iren Anderson, Curley, Grauel and Hess and the follCMing were absent: None ~r Hess and IIDved its adoption: introduced the following resolution RESOLUTION NO. 6451 RESOI11I'ION STATING ~ITION CF THE ROSEV'ILLE CITY COUNCIL REGARDlOO TB! 19n IroISLATIVE ~RAM OF THE RAMSEY ca.JNTY :e<>>.RD WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Board has adopted a legislative program to be presented to the 1977 Minnesota Legislature for con- sideration and enactnent, and WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council has studied the legislative program and wi8he8 to state its position regarding the proposed bills as smmarized on Exhibit "A" as attached. NCM, 'IHEREFORE, BE rr RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Roseville, that it ~ supports legislative Bills Nos. 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18 and 19 and urges their enact:rrent. BE IT FURI'HER RESOLVED THAT Bill No.1, Section 7, regard- ing ambulance service and Bill No. 16 regarding paramedics are hereby opposed as being unclear and uncertain as to their intent and potential impact on the City of Roseville. BE IT FURI'HER RESOLVED THAT Bill No.5, SuJ::xl. 3 q 4 , 6a and 8 which authorizes special levy authority is hereby opposed unless it can be conclusively demonstrated that such special levies are needed. If such need can be conclusively demonstrated, referenda to be required when it is required of other political suJ::xlivisions.
