<br />EXTRAcr OF MINUTES OF REGUIAR MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESarA - HELD <br />JANUARY 10, 1977 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular rreeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was <br />duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on the lOth <br />day of January, 1977, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The follCMing rrembers were present: Mayor DeIros, <br />Council.Iren Anderson, Curley, Grauel and Hess <br /> <br />and the follCMing were absent: None <br /> <br />~r Hess <br />and IIDved its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6451 <br /> <br />RESOI11I'ION STATING ~ITION CF THE ROSEV'ILLE CITY <br />COUNCIL REGARDlOO TB! 19n IroISLATIVE ~RAM OF <br />THE RAMSEY ca.JNTY :e<>>.RD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Board has adopted a legislative <br />program to be presented to the 1977 Minnesota Legislature for con- <br />sideration and enactnent, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council has studied the <br />legislative program and wi8he8 to state its position regarding <br />the proposed bills as smmarized on Exhibit "A" as attached. <br /> <br />NCM, 'IHEREFORE, BE rr RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Roseville, that it ~ supports legislative Bills Nos. <br />2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18 and 19 and urges <br />their enact:rrent. <br /> <br />BE IT FURI'HER RESOLVED THAT Bill No.1, Section 7, regard- <br />ing ambulance service and Bill No. 16 regarding paramedics are <br />hereby opposed as being unclear and uncertain as to their intent <br />and potential impact on the City of Roseville. <br /> <br />BE IT FURI'HER RESOLVED THAT Bill No.5, SuJ::xl. 3 q 4 , 6a <br />and 8 which authorizes special levy authority is hereby opposed <br />unless it can be conclusively demonstrated that such special <br />levies are needed. If such need can be conclusively demonstrated, <br />referenda to be required when it is required of other political <br />suJ::xlivisions. <br />
