<br />E)IT'RACI' OF MINU'IES OF REGULAR MEEI'ING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESffi'A - HElD <br /> <br />JANUARY 10, 1977 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular rreeting <br />of the City Conncil of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was <br />duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on the lOth <br />day of January, 1977, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following rranbers were present: Mayor Dem::>s, <br />COnncilrren Anderson, CUrley, Grauel and Hess <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />MEMBER Hess <br />and rroved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6452 <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution <br /> <br />RESOLUI'ION OPPOSING CCNSOLIDATION OF COUNTY <br />MUNICIPAL COURI'S <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a bill has lileen introduced into the 1977 Legislative <br />session which would abolish the Ien18ey County Municipal Court and <br />establish a Ramsey County COurt system which would consolidate five <br />suburban court locations into two suburban court locations, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been an inadequate effort to study the <br />cost and service level effect.of the proposed consolidation of <br />suburban court locations, arrl <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the R.am6ey ();)unty Board has not endorsed or taken <br />a position on the proposed lagislation, <br /> <br />NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Roseville City Council <br />hereby opposes legislation which would remove existing COunty Municipal <br />Courts from any of the Cities in whici1 they are now located, until a <br />thorough and comprehensive stwy has been made on its cost and <br />service level effect, and all parties have had the opportnnity to <br />consider the results of such study. <br /> <br />NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Manager provide <br />copies of this resolution to the Ramsey Connty Legislative Delegation, <br />Ramsey Connty Board, Ramsey COnnty League of Local Governrrents, and <br />the Minnesota House and Senate Judiciary Carrmi ttees. <br /> <br />The notion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />duly seconded by ~r Anderson and upon a vote being taken <br />
