E)IT'RACI' OF MINU'IES OF REGULAR MEEI'ING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESffi'A - HElD JANUARY 10, 1977 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular rreeting of the City Conncil of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on the lOth day of January, 1977, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following rranbers were present: Mayor Dem::>s, COnncilrren Anderson, CUrley, Grauel and Hess and the following were absent: None MEMBER Hess and rroved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 6452 introduced the following resolution RESOLUI'ION OPPOSING CCNSOLIDATION OF COUNTY MUNICIPAL COURI'S WHEREAS, a bill has lileen introduced into the 1977 Legislative session which would abolish the Ien18ey County Municipal Court and establish a Ramsey County COurt system which would consolidate five suburban court locations into two suburban court locations, and WHEREAS, there has been an inadequate effort to study the cost and service level effect.of the proposed consolidation of suburban court locations, arrl WHEREAS, the R.am6ey ();)unty Board has not endorsed or taken a position on the proposed lagislation, NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Roseville City Council hereby opposes legislation which would remove existing COunty Municipal Courts from any of the Cities in whici1 they are now located, until a thorough and comprehensive stwy has been made on its cost and service level effect, and all parties have had the opportnnity to consider the results of such study. NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Manager provide copies of this resolution to the Ramsey Connty Legislative Delegation, Ramsey Connty Board, Ramsey COnnty League of Local Governrrents, and the Minnesota House and Senate Judiciary Carrmi ttees.
