EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD APRIL 11 , 1977 * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regu- lar meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on the 1..l.tlL day of ~ril , 1977, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Mayor ~s, Councilmen Hess, Anderson, Curley and Grauel and the following members were absent: None Member Curley introduced the fol- lowing resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 6480 WHEREAS, the following described lands, to-wit: Lots 13 through 18 and Lots 20 through 24, Block 2, Garcelons Addition, Ramsey County, Minnesota. are tax-forfeited lands; and WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City of Roseville to acquire the same and use the same as a ponding area for the proper drainage of the surrounding property in the City of Roseville; and WHEREAS, if the pond were destroyed it would be a great hardship for the City of Roseville to provide for the proper drainage of the surrounding area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That it is necessary to protect said ponding area and the City Council of the City of Roseville has determined that it is in the public interest to ac- quire the real property described above and it is the intention of the City of Roseville to use said land as a natural ponding area. 2. That the Mayor and Manager are authorized and directed to sign the Application by a Governmental Subdivision for Conveyance of Tax-forfeited Lands Under Minnesota Statutes, Section 282.01, Subdivision 1.
