<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD APRIL 11 , 1977 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regu- <br />lar meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall in <br />said City on the 1..l.tlL day of ~ril , 1977, at 7:30 <br />o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor ~s, <br /> <br />Councilmen Hess, Anderson, Curley and Grauel <br />and the following members were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Curley introduced the fol- <br />lowing resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6480 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following described lands, to-wit: <br /> <br />Lots 13 through 18 and Lots 20 <br />through 24, Block 2, Garcelons <br />Addition, Ramsey County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />are tax-forfeited lands; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City of <br />Roseville to acquire the same and use the same as a <br />ponding area for the proper drainage of the surrounding <br />property in the City of Roseville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, if the pond were destroyed it would <br />be a great hardship for the City of Roseville to provide <br />for the proper drainage of the surrounding area. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That it is necessary to protect said <br />ponding area and the City Council of the City of Roseville <br />has determined that it is in the public interest to ac- <br />quire the real property described above and it is the <br />intention of the City of Roseville to use said land as <br />a natural ponding area. <br /> <br />2. That the Mayor and Manager are authorized <br />and directed to sign the Application by a Governmental <br />Subdivision for Conveyance of Tax-forfeited Lands Under <br />Minnesota Statutes, Section 282.01, Subdivision 1. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foreing <br />resolution was duly seconded by member Grauel <br />
