<br />EXTRACr OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COONCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, HElD APRIL 25, 1977 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular rreeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly <br />held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, April 25, 1977, at 7:30 <br />o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />'!he following rrerrbers were present: Mayor Demos, Council- <br />:trent Hess, Anderson, Curley and Grauel. <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />~r Cur ley intrcduced and 1l'Oved the adoption of the <br />following resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6484 <br /> <br />WHEmAS, APe-8, open burning regulation of the Minnesota <br />Polution Control Agency bans wtdoor burning in the '!Win City rretra- <br />politan area and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the ban on burning has resulted in significantly <br />nore rraterials being placed in our sanitary landfills and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the rretropolican area is already experiencing a <br />shortage of available land for landfills and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the burning ban has caused increased cost for citizens <br />because they must pay for the rercoval of i terns fran their property and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Polution Control Agency has the <br />authority to change the regulation regarding the burning ban; <br /> <br />NCM, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br />City of Roseville supports a change in APe-8 which \\Ulld permit munici- <br />palities to establish one week in the spring and one week in the fall <br />for the open burning of yard debris. <br /> <br />'!he notion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />duly seconded by Councilman Hess and upon vote being taken thereon <br />the following voted in favor thereof: All present <br /> <br />and the following voted against the sarre: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
