EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEEI'ING OF THE CITY COm~IL OF roSEVILLE, MINNESorA - REID Novenber 14, 1977 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call arrl notice thereof, a regular neeting of the City Council of the City of Poseville, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on the 14th day of November, 1977, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. 'Ihe following nembers were present: Mayor Demos, Counci1.nen Anderson, Curley, Grauel and Hess and the fOllCMing were absent: None M:mber Hess intrcrluced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOrmroo NO. 6578 RESOLtJI'ION URGING CCNMUNITY RECLASSIFICATION WHEREAS, the ~tropolitan C01.U1Cil has classified :rretropolitan cities as developed or developing Camtunities (and other class- ifications) in its Developrrent Fra:rrework; and WHEREAS, the City of Rosevi11e was classified as a developing cormn.mity based on 1970 data; a.rrl WHEREAS, the Development Conmittee of the ~tropo1itan Council is currently considering re-eva1uation of the criteria and classifi- cation of developed cormnmities based on 1975 data; and WHEREAS, the City of Roseville far exceeds the criteria for the classification as a developed carmunity in 1975; NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Foseville recCllTll:mds arrl requests that the Development Corrmi ttee ani the ~tropolitan Council classify the City of Rosevil1e as a developed c:x::mm.mi.ty in the Metropolitan Development Framework. 'Ihe m::>tion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by ~ Grauel and upon a vote being taken thereon, the follCMing voted in favor: All present and the follCMing voted against: None. WHEREUPON, the resolution was declared duly passed a.rrl adopted.
