<br />COUNCILMAN FRANKE: There's not any development in there <br />and the contour is that the pole would be in his front yard. <br /> <br />MAYOR DEMOS: These aren't unsightly. They're beautiful. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN FRANKE: At the spot where you have it now it <br />would be less objectionable and (inaudible) $254 it wouldn't <br />bother his house as much as the other, so I think Alternate 2 <br />for the little extra money is the better of the two. <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN REBR: Those lights all have a downward wash <br />anyway, don't they? <br /> <br />MR. BONCHELL: They're directed to the degree they can be <br />with an open bulb system. <br /> <br />Councilman Anderson then introduced the following resolu- <br />tion and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 6621 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />ALTERNATE 2, IMPROVEl1ENT NO. UL-77-2l UNDER <br />AND PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 429 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, that in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota <br />Statutes 1961, Chapter 429, as amended, the Council held a <br />public hearing on the proposed construction of Improvement No. <br />UL-77-21 consisting of the installation of street lights on <br />Grandview Avenue from Matilda Street east approximately 500 <br />feet, as described in the Notice of Hearing at a cost presently <br />estimated at $1,313.50, and Substantially in accordance with <br />the preliminary report as to the feasibility thereof which is <br />now on file in the office of the City Manager1 and having con- <br />sidered the views of all interested persons and being fully <br />advised in the premises, the Council does hereby det:ermine and <br />order that said improvement shall be constructed and financed, <br />and special assessments shall be levied therefor, pursuant to <br />said Chapter 429, and that the area proposed to be assessed <br />therefor shall include the property as described in the Notice <br />of Hearing. The City Public Works Director is directed to <br />prepare and submit to the Council the final plans and specifi- <br />cations. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution <br />was duly seconded by Councilman Curley, and upon roll call <br />vote being taken thereon, the fOllowing voted in favor thereof: <br />All1 and the following voted against the same: None 1 whereupon <br />said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
