<br />EXTRACl' OF MINUTES OF THE CITY COONCIL <br />OF ImEVIlLE, MINNESarA - HELD APRIL 10, 1978 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular rreeting <br />of the City Co1.ll1cil of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly <br />called and held at the City Hall at 7: 30 P. M., funday, April 10, <br />1978. <br /> <br />The follcwing rrenbers were present: Mayor Derros, C01.ll1cilIren Kehr, <br />Franke and Anderson <br /> <br />and the follcwing was absent: Co1.ll1cilIran CUrley <br /> <br />M:m1ber Franke introduced the follcwing resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLurION NO. 6636 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Co1.ll1cil adopted Fesolution <br />No. 6112 on J1.ll1e 24, 1974, regarding the appointrrent procedure to <br />advisory boards, corrmissions and carmi ttees; <br /> <br />NCW, 'lliEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Fesolution No. 6112 <br />is emended to read as follONS: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Roseville City C01.ll1cil adopt <br />the folla.ving resolution as a staterrent of policy: <br /> <br />At the expiration of a term or whenever a vacancy occurs, <br />because of resignation, death, moving fram the City, rem:wal <br />from office, etc. on any Roseville Board, Carmission or <br />Ccmnittee, the Co1.ll1cil shall publicly anno1.ll1ce that they <br />will accept applications fran all interested citizens. <br />Board rrercbers, eligible for re-appointrrent will be considered <br />unless a letter declining re-appointnent is received. <br /> <br />In making all appointrrents, C01.ll1cil rrercbers shall keep in <br />mind the need for worren to serve in Roseville Governrrent <br />and make a serious attenpt to increase their representation <br />on its Boards, CaTmissions and Corrmi ttees. In all such <br />appointrrents, the rrost qualified person shall be appointed. <br /> <br />~rs of all Boards, Conmissions and Ccmnittees shall serve <br />a rnaxi.mum. of two full consecutive four-year tenus or three <br />full consecutive three-year terms. <br /> <br />No rrerrber of any body shall serve on another body excepting <br />in an ex-officio capacity. <br />
