<br />EXI'RACT OF MINUI'ES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNFSOI'A - HELD <br /> <br />May 8, 1978 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular <br />rreeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, <br />was duly held at the City Hall in said City on funday, the 8th <br />day of May, 1978, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />'Ihe follaving rrembers were present: Mayor Denes, Councilrren <br />Anderson, Franke, Kehr and CUrley <br /> <br />and the follaving were absent: None <br /> <br />Councilman Franke intrcx:luced ahd rroved the adoption of <br />the follaving resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6648 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council at its April 10, 1978 <br />rreeting adopted a rrotion giving conceptual approval <br />to the plans for a 48 foot roadway for Lexington <br />Avenue and concurring in the preparation of final <br />plans for future council review; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Shoreview has also given conceptual <br />approval to the plans subject to the construction <br />of a separaterl pathway on one side of Lexington <br />Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has also given conceptual <br />approval to the plans with the recarrrendation that <br />a separated pathway be constructerl on one side of <br />Lexington Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the construction of a separated pathway would provide <br />increased safety for PEriestrains and bike riders, <br /> <br />N<J\T, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br />City of Roseville arrend its previous action by making <br />the conceptual approval of the plan for a 48 foot <br />roadway for Lexington Avenue subject to the construction <br />of a separaterl pathway on one side of the street. <br /> <br />'Ihe rrotion was seconderl by Councilman CUrley, and upon vote <br />being taken thereon, the follaving voted in favor thereof: Franke, <br />Kehr, CUrley and Ierros <br /> <br />and the follaving voterl against: Councilrnan Anderson. Councilrnan Anderson <br />indicaterl that he voted nay, not because he disapproved of the separated <br />bike path, but because he disapproved of only a 48 foot wide street. <br /> <br />~ereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
