E)cr'RACI' OF MINUTES OF MEEI'ING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOI'A - HELD MA.Y 22, 1978 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular rreeting of the City Council of the City of Rosevi11e, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on the 22nd day of May, 1978, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. 'Ihe fo11CMing rrerrbers were present: Acting Mayor CUrley, CmIDcilmen Anderson, Kehr and Franke and the follCMing were absent: Mayor DerrDs M;mber Anderson noved its adoption: introduced the follCMing resolution and RESOLUTIOO NO. 6653 REQUESTING THE METROPOLITAN COONCIL HRA TO APPLY FOR REHABILITATlOO GRAm' FUNDS FOR THE CITY OF rosEVILLE WHEREAS, the City of Roseville desires to assist low incare hare<::M1ers in making repairs to their hares for the purpose of correct- ing defects affecting directly the safety, habi tabi1i ty, energy usage, or accessibility of the property; WHEREAS, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency has funds to be used for such purposes, and will accept applications from housing and redeve10pnent authorities desiring to administer these Hare Irrprove- rrent Grant Program funds; and, WHEREAS, the ~tropolitan Council has been duly organized pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 1976, Section 473.123 and has all of the p(Mers am duties of a housing and redevelopnent authority pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 1976, 473.193 under the provisions of the Municipal Housing and Redeve10prrent .Act, Minnesota Statutes 1976, Sections 462.411 to 462.711; and NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the ~tropo1itan Council is hereby requested to include the City of Rosevi11e in an application for state Hare Inprovenent Grant Program funds, and that upon approval of such application, the City and the Metropolitan Council will enter into an agreerrent for operating the program wi thin the City. The notion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by rrerrber Kehr and upon a vote being taken the following voted in favor thereof: All t presen and the fOllCMing voted against the sarre.
