right-of-way acquisition. and necessary appurtenances on County
Road C from Cleveland Avenue, west to the west city li~its,
and Cleveland Avenue from County Road C to a point 350 feet
south of the centerline of County Road C, as described in the
Notice of Hearing at a cost presently estimated at $1,300,448
of which the City of Roseville's share would be approximately
$175,034; and substantially in accordance with the preliminary
report as to the feasibility thereof which is now on file in
the office of the City Hanager, and having consiclered the views
of all interested persons and beinq fully advised in the
premises, the Council does hereby determine and order that
said improvement shall be constructed and financed, and
special assessments shall be levied therefor, pursuant to said
Chapter 429, and that the area proposed to be assessed there-
for shall include the property as described in the Notice of
Hearing. The City Public Works Director is directed to prepare
and submit to the Council the final plans and specifications.

The motion for the adoption of the resolution was seconded
by Councilman Kehr.

rmYOR DEr~S: Before I call the roll, I would like to say
I would question that statement that you would have to build a
ramp because in most parking ~laces you could get in would be
about 40 cars so I can't see having to build a ramp for that.
I guess I can't let that statement stand.

MR. BRUNELL: I didn't mean that would be the absolute
requirement. All I'm saying, accordinq to our calculations we
will lose 87 spots and we have had some debate with the county
and they say by angle parking we can reduce the number of spots,
but by doing that, we have given up some other space. All
our point is that according to our calculations - I regret
that our Direotor of Property could do it better - but according
to our calculations it's (inaudible) 80 spots.

NAYOR DE~DS: According to the City's calculations I
don't think it would make 80 spots.

COUNCILr1AN FRANRE: Is that regular parking?

~m. BRUNELL: ~'1e presently park a number of our tractor
units along the front south edge of County Road C.

COUNCIL~mN FRANKE: Do you have access to County Road C
with those big tractors and trucks? I would think it would
be to your advantage to have the wider street.

rm. BRUNELL~ We're maneuverino now. One thing that
scares us is the increased traffic flow.
