<br />EXTRACT OF MINUI'ES OF REGUIAR MEETING OF 'IHE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOI'A - HELD <br />January 8, 1979 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular rreeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly <br />called and held at the City Hall in said City on the 8th day of <br />January, 1979, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />'!he following rrenbers were present: Mayor I:erros, <br />Councilrren Kehr, Anderson, Curley and Franke <br /> <br />and the follcwing were absent: None. <br /> <br />M:mber Kehr introduced the follcwing resolution and rroved <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6775 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has been inforrred that Ramsey <br />County is conten:plating the construction of new public libraries <br />in the vicinity of the City of Roseville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the present tirre Independent School District <br />No. 623 is conten:plating closing certain schools; <br /> <br />NaV, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED: <br /> <br />'!hat the City Council of the City of Roseville urges the <br />Board of Corrmissioners for Ramsey County to consider using surplus <br />school buildings for any expansion of public library facilities in <br />or near the City of Foseville, and that a certified copy of this <br />resolution be forwarded to the Ramsey County Board of Conrnissioners. <br /> <br />The rrotion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />duly seconded by M=rnber Anderson and upon a vote being taken, the <br />follCMing voted in favor of the resolution: All present <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON, the said resolution was declared duly passed <br />and adopted. <br />
