E2cr'RACI' OF MINl1I'ES OF MEETING OF THE roSEVIUE CITY COUNCIL - HELD FEBRUARY 26, 1979 * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular rreeting of the City Council of the City of Ibseville, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall in said City on funday, February 26, 1979, at 7:30 P.M. '!he following rrenbers were present: Mayor Demos, Councilmen Kehr, Franke and Anderson and the following were absent: Councilman Curley M:mber Kehr noved its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION NO. 6792 WHEREAS, during the year 1976, the City of Ibseville participated in a Ramsey County joint Law Enforcenent Assistance Administration grant for radio upgrading; and WHEREAS, the City of Ibseville had eight (8) nobile radio uni ts rrodified and other conmmi ties had seventeen (17) under this grant and they did not perform in a satisfactory manner; and WHEREAS, all possible nethods of further rrodification have been eliminated; and WHEREAS, the only nethod to correct the situation is to purchase new mi ts; and WHEREAS, the IYDst appropriate rrethod of applying for a new law Enforcenent Assistance Administration grant through the Governor's Crine Control Comnission for all agencies is through one agency; New, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Ibseville authorizes the City Manager to apply for a grant for the purchase of eight (8) rrobile radios for the City of Ibseville Police Depart.nent with the City of Mapl~ to act as fiscal agent, sponsoring unit and inplerrenting agency and the City of Maplewood will take the necessary steps to apply for the grant. NOTE: 'Ihis resolution rescinded by Fesolution No. 6808 passed on April 23, 1979.
