<br />2 <br /> <br />and these are in duly improved roadways along Merrill Street. <br /> <br />The sanitary sewer starts from an existing trunk sewer at <br />Fernwood and Merrill, comes up Merrill to serve the new <br />properties in that location, and this is the extent of the improve- <br />ment hearing on this project at this time - just the sewer and <br />water essentially along Merrill and the water for the looping <br />along Fernwood. <br /> <br />MR. POPOVICH: The total cost is $54,179. $26,505 is <br />sewer and $27,673 is water for the total of the $54,179. This <br />will be 100% assessed. <br /> <br />The sanitary sewer is $12.68 a front foot and 20 services <br />at $399 each, and the water on the front foot basis is $12.16 <br />a front foot with 20 services at $299.51. <br /> <br />There are no general taxes involved, and it's recommended <br />to be spread over a 20 year period of time with 8% carrying <br />charge with the usual policies of the city applicable. <br /> <br />Mayor Demos announced that the meeting was open for the <br />consideration of objections, if any, to the proposed assessment. <br />All persons present were then given the opportunity to present <br />oral objections. <br /> <br />There were no written communications and no one appeared. <br /> <br />Mayor Demos closed the hearing and Councilman Anderson <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6872 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND CONFIRMING <br />ASSESSMENTS FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. SS-W-77-3 <br /> <br />- <br />BE IT RESOLVED by-the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br /> <br />Minnesota, as follows: <br /> <br />1. The amount proper and necessary to be specially <br />assessed at this time for Improvement No. SS-W-77-3 against every <br />assessable lot, piece or parcel of land affected thereby has <br />been duly calculated upon the basis of benefits, without regard <br />to cash valuation, in accordance with the provisions of Minne- <br />sota Statutes, Chapter 429, as amended, and notice has been <br />duly mailed and published, as required by law, that this Council <br />would meet to hear, consider and pass upon all objections, if <br />any, and said proposed assessment has at all times since its <br />filing been open for public inspection, and an opportunity has <br />been given to all interested persons to present their objec- <br />tions, if any, to such proposed assessments. <br />
