<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Held - September 24, 1979 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota was duly held <br />at the City Hall in said City on Monday, the 24th day of September, <br />1979, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Demos and <br />Councilmen Curley, Kehr, Anderson and Franke; and the following <br />were absent: None. <br /> <br />Councilman Kehr introduced and moved the adoption of the <br />following resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6894 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR ADVERTISEMENT FOR <br />BIDS ON IMPROVEMENT ST-79-l8 (Roseville) <br />and ST-78-l3 (Shoreview) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Joint Powers Agreement passed by the <br />City Council on September 10, 1979, the Consulting firm of Short, Elliott, <br />Hendrickson Associates has prepared plans and specifications for Improve- <br />ment ST-79-l8 (Roseville) and ST-78-l3 (Shoreview) and has presented such <br />plans and specifications to the Council for approval; <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are <br />attached hereto, and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager shall prepare and cause to be inserted <br />in the Roseville Sun, the official paper, and in the Construction Bulletin, <br />an advertisement for bids upon the making of such approved plans and <br />specifications. The advertisement for Improvement ST-79-l8 (Roseville) <br />and ST-78-l3 (Shoreview) shall be published as required by law, shall specify <br />the work to be done, shall call for bids on the basis of a cash payment for <br />such work, shall state that the bids will be received by the City Manager <br />and Public Works Director until 11 :00 o'c1ock a.m. on October 30, 1979, at <br />which time they will be publicly opened in the City Hall by the City Manager <br />and City Public Works Director, will then be tabulated, and will subsequently <br />be considered by the Council, and that no bids will be considered unless <br />sealed and filed with the Manager and accompanied by a cash deposit, <br />certified check or bid bond payable to the City for ten percent of the <br />amount of such bid. <br />
