Chair Singleton noted that the HRC had voted to <br />move forward with the document, allowing for future revisions. <br /> <br />Discussion included removal of the third bulle t entitled, “Develop and Implement the Police- <br />Civilian Review Commission for the Roseville Police Department,” as it had been recently <br />determined by the HRC that this was not needed ; addition of the expanded role of the HRC per <br />City Ordinance; and the need to update the document for su bmission to the HRC for their <br />approval. <br /> <br />Member Grefenberg and Member Yates voluntee red to update the document for review by the <br />full HRC. <br /> <br />Member McKenzie requested that staff provide a copy of the ordinance adopted by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />Member Grefenberg moved to authorize setti ng up a subcommittee, chaired by Member Yates, <br />and consisting other interested HRC volunteers, to explore the impact upon strategies of the <br />April 27, 2009 City Council ordinan ce enactment and expanded role for the HRC. Motion died <br />for lack of a second. <br /> <br />Member Grefenberg opined that the previous HRC didn’t adopt the Strategic Plan verbatim, <br />referencing previous meeting minutes, a nd allowing for a more flexible format. <br /> <br />Member Grefenberg moved to establish a Subcommittee of Members Yates and Grefenberg and <br />other interested HRC members, with Member Yate s serving as Chair, to update and expand the <br />strategic plan and commission ini tiatives, and incorporating the new role enacted for the HRC by <br />the City Council. <br /> <br />Member Yates, whether nominated or not, volunteered to work w ith Members to provide a draft <br />prior to the next meeting. <br /> <br />Chair Singleton said there was no need to establis h a subcommittee, but it was sufficient to have <br />members volunteer to draft revised la nguage for review of the full HRC. <br /> <br />Member Grefenberg withdrew his motion a nd volunteered to assist Member Yates. <br /> <br />Discussion included whether the HRC met in Jul y, with Ms. Curti advising that the Committee <br />historically had not met in July. <br /> <br />Review of 2008 Accomplishments in Prep aration for meeting with City Council <br />Member Grefenberg distributed his personal work plan for the HRC. <br /> <br />Chair Singleton suggested developing an annual report of last year’s accomplishments and a <br />draft 2010 work plan for presentation to the City Council at the upcoming joint meeting. <br />
