EXTRACI' OF MINUI'ES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOI'A HELD - I.Ecember 3, 1979 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular rreeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Ramsey County, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall on Monday, I.Ecember 3, 1979, at 7:30 P.M. The following rrerrbers were present: Kehr, Anderson Franke and Curley and the following were absent: Mayor DeIms ~er Anderson and rroved its adoption: introduced the following resolution RESOLUI'IOO NO. 6906 WHERFAS, a cable supplier known as Capital City Cable- VlSlon, Inc. has submitted a proposal to the Minnesota Cable Conmunications Board for a Cable Service Territory which includes the City of Roseville; and WHEREAS, the Minnesota Cable Corrmunications Board will consider approval of this proposal at its December 14, 1979 rreeting and requests corrm:mts be made prior to that date; and WHEREAS, the City Council has, through its duly appointed Cable Advisory Comnittee, considered the appropriateness of the pro- posed territory to the City; NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville in regular rreeting asserrbled that the City of Roseville opposes establishrrent of the Cable Service Terri tory as proposed by Capital City Cablevision, Inc. for the following reasons: A. The boundaries as proposed are not conducive to satisfying the needs of Roseville. B. The establishrrent of the territory may limit the cohesive organization and provision of public service applications to the camnunity.
