<br />Planning Commission Board Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes - Wednesday, March 03, 2010 <br />1 <br />1) Call to Order <br />2 <br />Chair Doherty called to order the Planning Commission meeting at approximately 6:30 p.m. <br />3 <br />and reviewed the role and purpose of the Planning Commission. <br />4 <br />2) Roll Call & Introductions <br /> <br />5 <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br />6 <br />Members Present: Chair Jim Doherty; and Commissioners John Gisselquist; Daniel <br />7 <br />Boerigter; and Joe Wozniak <br />8 <br />Members Excused: Commissioners Glenn Cook and Thomas Gottfried <br />9 <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Andre Best <br />10 <br />Staff present: City Planner Thomas Paschke; Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd; <br />11 <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />12 <br />3) Review of Minutes <br />13 <br />Review of the January 6, 2010 meeting minutes was deferred to a future meeting. <br />14 <br />MOTION <br />15 <br />Member Wozniak moved, seconded by Member Gisselquist to approve meeting <br />16 <br />minutes of February 03, 2010 as amended. <br />17 <br />Corrections: <br />18 <br />Page 1: <br /> Correct to indicate that Commissioner Boerigter was present. <br /> <br />19 <br />Ayes: 4 <br />20 <br />Nays: 0 <br />21 <br />Motion carried. <br />22 <br />4) Communications and Recognitions: <br />23 <br />a) From the Public (Public Comment on items not on the agenda) <br />24 <br />No one from the public appeared to speak at this time. <br />25 <br />b) From the Commission or Staff <br />26 <br />Member Wozniak announced the upcoming Twin Cities Alliance for Sustainable <br />27 <br />Communities Workshop scheduled for Friday, March 12, 2010, its location and schedule; <br />28 <br />and encouraged residents to attend, with additional information available at the Alliance <br />29 <br />for Sustainability website. <br />30 <br />City Planner Paschke announced the second Neighborhood Open House for the City’s <br />31 <br />Zoning Update, scheduled for Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the City <br />32 <br />Hall Council Chambers, with additional information on proposed revisions and the <br />33 <br />meeting agenda available on the City’s website. <br />34 <br />5) Public Hearings <br />35 <br />Chair Doherty reviewed the purpose and process of public hearings before the Planning <br />36 <br />Commission. <br />37 <br />a) Planning File 10-007 <br />38 <br />Request by Clearwire, LLC for approval of telecommunication equipment mounted <br />39 <br />onto a commercial building as a CONDITIONAL USE at 2233 Hamline Avenue <br />40 <br />Chair Doherty opened the Public Hearing for Planning File 10-007 at 6:45 p.m. <br />41 <br />Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd reviewed staff’s analysis of the request by Clearwire for <br />42 <br />erection of a Wi-Max panel and GPS antenna on the Roseville Professional Center office <br /> <br />
