Call to Order <br />1 <br />Chair Doherty called to order the Planning Commission meeting at approximately 6:30 <br />2 <br />p.m. and reviewed the role and purpose of the Planning Commission. <br />3 <br />2. Roll Call & Introductions <br /> <br />4 <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br />5 <br />Members Present: Chair Jim Doherty; and Commissioners Joe Wozniak; Andre <br />6 <br />Best; John Gisselquist; Daniel Boerigter; Glenn Cook; and <br />7 <br />Thomas Gottfried. <br />8 <br />Staff present: City Planner Thomas Paschke; Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd. <br />9 <br />3. Review of Minutes <br />10 <br />MOTION <br />11 <br />Member Wozniak moved, seconded by Member Gisselquist to approve meeting <br />12 <br />minutes of January 6, 2010 as presented. <br />13 <br />Ayes: 5 <br />14 <br />Nays: 0 <br />15 <br />Abstentions: 2 (Boerigter; Gottfried) <br />16 <br />Motion carried. <br />17 <br />MOTION <br />18 <br />Member Doherty moved, seconded by Member Boerigter to approve meeting <br />19 <br />minutes of March 03, 2010 as presented OR as amended. <br />20 <br />Ayes: 4 <br />21 <br />Nays: 0 <br />22 <br />Abstentions: 3 (Cook; Gottfried; Best) <br />23 <br />Motion carried. <br />24 <br />4. Communications and Recognitions: <br />25 <br />a. From the Public (Public Comment on items not on the agenda) <br />26 <br />No one from the public appeared to speak at this time. <br />27 <br />b. From the Commission or Staff <br />28 <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke advised that following distribution of tonight’s <br />29 <br />agenda, a revised agenda had been distributed with the addition of two (2) <br />30 <br />annual business items: <br />31 <br />1) Election of 2010 Planning Commission Officers (Chair and Vice Chair) <br />32 <br />2) Recommendation of three (3) Commissioners and one (1) alternate to <br />33 <br />serve as the Variance Board, for approval by the City Council at their <br />34 <br />April 1, 2010 regular meeting. <br />35 <br />By consensus, Chair Doherty duly noted that the agenda was hereby amended. <br />36 <br />5. Public Hearings <br />37 <br />Chair Doherty reviewed the purpose and process for public hearings before the Planning <br />38 <br />Commission. <br />39 <br />a. Planning File 10-010 <br />40 <br />Request by Clearwire, LLC for approval of telecommunication tower facility <br />41 <br />as a CONDITIOANL USE at 2489 Rice Street <br />42 <br />Chair Doherty opened the Public Hearing for Planning File 10-010 at 6:34 p.m. <br />43 <br /> <br />
