RESOLUl'ICN NO. 6915 EXTRACT' OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF CITY COlWCIL OF ROSEVIILE, MINNESOI'A - HELD January 14, 1980 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular rreeting of the City COlmcil of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall in said City on ~nday, January 14, 1980, at 7:30 p.m. 'Ihe following rrernbers were present: Mayor I:erros, Councilrren Curley, Anderson, Franke and Kehr and the following were absent: None. CouncilIran Anderson introduced and rroved the adoption of the following resolution: WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is authorized by Minnesota Statute 471.59 to enter into joint and cooperative agreerrents with other governrrental units; and WHEREAS, this City Council has reviewed a joint and co- operative agreerrent am:mg suburban mmicipalities in the seven-county metropolitan area which will establish a Suburban Police Recruitnent System; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the Suburban Police Recruitment System will be to recruit candidates for entry-level police positions in the cooperating mmicipalities and to assist the cooperating municipalities in evaluating candidates for these positions; and WHEREAS, this City Council has determined that it will be advantageous to the City of Roseville to participate in the Suburban Police Recrui tnent System; and WHEREAS, the Roseville Police Civil Service Comnission has approved and recormended entering into a joint and cooperative agree- rrent with the Subutban Police Recrui tnent System; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Roseville, Minnesota, as follows: 1. 'Ihe Mayor and Manager hereby are authorized to execute the Joint and Cooperative Agreerrent which establishes the Suburban Police Recrui tnent System and which provides for City rrerrbership in said system.
