EXTRAcr OF MINUTF.B OF ~ING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, ~llNNESarA, HELD MARQI 10, 1980 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular rreeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, RaIrsey County, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall, 2660 CivicCenter Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on the lOth day of March, 1980. 'The following rrerrbers were present: Mayor Derros, Councilrren Franke, Curley, Kehr and Anderson. and the following were absent: None. M:mber Franke lIDved its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION NO. 6931 WHF-REAS, the City C'..ouncil of the City of Roseville believes it is in the best interests of the public to establish energy-efficient rrethods of transportation and, WHEREAS, one such energy-efficient form has been found to be Park Rides Facilities in conjunctions with Public transit and, WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transit Comnission, the City of Foseville and the Federal Highway Administration have concurred that a good location for a Park Ride Site is the Parking Lot at the Foseville Ice Arena and, WHEREAS, a Federal Grant has been obtained to assist in the funding of said Park Rides Facility; NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council enter into an agreem:mt with the Metropolitan Transit Area (MI'A) , acting by and through its governing body, t..he ~tropoli tan Transit Comnission, hereinafter referred to as the "Ml'C", for the following purposes, to wit: to provide for the City of Foseville to grant to the Ml'C a tenporary easem:mt over, under and across a parcel of land described in said agreement solely for the establishment and operation thereon by the Ml'C of a Park-Rides Facility. In addition, said agreem:mt provides for the City to perform certain maintenance services for Park-Ride Facility at no cost to the Ml'C. BE IT FURI'HER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to execute said agreem:mt.
