<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA <br />HELD - May 12, 1980 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Ramsey County, Minnesota, <br />was duly held at the City Hall on Monday, May 12, 1980, at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Demos, Councilmen <br />Kehr, Franke, Curley and Anderson <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Curley introduced the following Resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6948 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an explosion and fire that occurred at Williams <br />Pipeline, 2451 West County Road C, on April 16, 1980, had the potential <br />of assuming disastrous proportions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the fire was brought under control without further <br />loss of life or property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the success of fire control operations is attributable <br />to the agencies, companies, organizations and individuals that assisted <br />the Roseville Fire Department in its work; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Roseville City Council <br />offer its sincere thanks to those agencies, companies, organizations and <br />individuals that assisted in controlling the fire at Williams Pipeline on <br />April 16, 1980, and to the following in particular: <br /> <br />David Jertson <br />Schoonover Towing <br />Minnesota Solvents <br />McDonald's Restaurant <br />Patrick Coughlin <br />East County Line Fire Department <br />Lake Johanna Fire Department <br />Gladstone Fire Department <br />Parkside Fire Department <br />Health Central, Inc. <br />Salvation Army <br />Ramsey County Sheriff's Reserve <br />Minnesota State Patrol <br />3-M Company <br />New Brighton Police Department <br />Roseville Police Department <br />Williams Pipeline Company <br /> <br />Kath Brothers Fuel <br />Anoka County Sheriff's Reserve <br />William Bruen <br />Hennepin County Medical Center <br />New Brighton Fire Department <br />Little Canada Fire Department <br />St. Anthony Fire Department <br />Falcon Heights Fire Department <br />Vadnais Heights Fire Department <br />American Red Cross-St. Paul Chapter <br />Ramsey County Sheriff's Patrol <br />Ramsey County Sheriff's Communications <br />Nardini Fire Equipment <br />St. Anthony Police Department <br />Percy Johnstone <br />Roseville Police Reserve <br />
