Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday, February 28, 2011 <br /> Page 10 <br /> Chapter 1017 (Shoreland, Wetland, and Storm Water Management); and Chapter <br /> 1019 (Parking Regulations) of the Roseville City Code;" for publication purposes <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Johnson; McGehee; Willmus; Pust; and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Recess <br /> Mayor Roe recessed the meeting at approximately 7:15 p.m. and reconvened at approximately <br /> 7:22 p.m. <br /> 9. General Ordinances for Adoption <br /> 10. Presentations <br /> a. Northwest Youth and Family Services (NYFS)Annual Update <br /> Executive Director Jerry Hromatka, presented the annual update of the NYFS; <br /> and highlighted various aspects, highlights and trends in the work of the organiza- <br /> tion. The NYFS presentation was included as part of the February 28, 2011 meet- <br /> ing agenda packet. <br /> Councilmember Pust, in her service on the NYFS Board, asked that Mr. Hro- <br /> matka highlight ways the Cities and individuals could know the services of <br /> NYFS. Mr. Hromatka advised that, if NYFS was unable to provide a specific <br /> service, they could connect those seeking those services with someone who could <br /> assist them. <br /> Councilmember Pust noted that the need was often for Chore Corps, and ques- <br /> tioned whether youth were available to assist residents with code enforcement is- <br /> sues. <br /> Mr. Hromatka advised that those services could be arranged as individuals were <br /> available. <br /> At the request of Councilmember Pust, Mr. Hromatka announced an upcoming <br /> leadership lunch on May 3, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Midland Hills Country Club, <br /> where the community could learn more about NYFS and determine their interest <br /> in getting involved. Mr. Hromatka announced that keynote speaker Matt Kramer, <br /> the new President of the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce, would be addressing the <br /> future of jobs and children from his perspective. Mr. Hromatka invited residents <br /> to visit the NYFS website for more details on the lunch and/or services of NYFS. <br /> Councilmember Johnson encouraged Mr. Hromatka to talk with Community De- <br /> velopment Director Patrick Trudgeon to connect youth with code enforcement <br /> needs; noting that the City was looking to target code enforcement issues for <br /> commercial properties as well. <br />
