- 3 !D.( I 1 I March 7, 2011 Roseville City Council 2660 Civic Center Drive Roseville, MN 55113 Dear City Council Member, Residents of the cul-de-sac at County Road C-2 and Lexington Avenue were notified of the proposed development of Josephine Woods and were invited to attend the Roseville Planning Commission meeting on March 2, 2011 to learn more about the development and to ask questions. Residents from the cul-de-sac and along areas of C-2, from Hamline Avenue to Victoria Avenue, attended the March 2 meeting. We were surprised and dismayed to find that the meeting became dominated by the agenda of Josephine Road residents,who provided written copies of their position to the citizens attending the meeting and who repeatedly stated to the Planning Commission their opinion that there is too much traffic on Josephine Road and the only solution is to open the cul-de-sac on C-2 in the hope that it will divert traffic onto someone else's residential street. The Roseville C-2 Neighborhood Association is providing you with copies of letters, a petition and other information regarding County Road C-2 so that you may be informed of the history of these issues. We invite you to walk or drive along the roads being discussed, from the cul-de-sac on County Road C-2, north on Lexington Avenue, west on Josephine Road, south on Hamline Avenue and east on County Road C-2. We would like you to especially be aware of the large hill at the junction of Merrill Avenue and County Road C-2 and the safety risks that the hill already presents. The Roseville C-2 Neighborhood Association embraces the goals and policies of our 2030 Comprehensive Plan. We want to live in a neighborhood that is safe. We want to preserve our quality of life and the value of our homes. We support decisions based on accurate facts and data, not opinions and projections.
