<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />HELD - October 13, 1980 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular <br />meeting of the City Council of the City of Rosevi11e, Minnesota, <br />was held in the City Hall in said City on Monday, the 13th day <br />of October, 1980, at 7:30 o'c10ck p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Demos, <br />Councilmen Curley, Kehr, Franke and Anderson <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Councilman Anderson introduced the following resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7044 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 1980 Legislature passed Chapter 612, Sec. 7, <br />dealing with the Ramsey County League of Local Government; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 612, Sec. 7 of the 1980 Laws now allows <br />Ramsey County, watershed districts, soil and conservation districts, <br />school districts and other governmental subdivisions lying in whole <br />or in part within Ramsey County to participate in the organization <br />of the Ramsey County League of Local Government and to be members <br />thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 612, Sec. 7 of the 1980 Laws now allow <br />for the determination of dues based upon the Metropolitan Council <br />population estimates rather than on Federal Census figures, and allow <br />Ramsey County and other governmental subdivisions other than cities <br />and towns to have their dues determined through negotiations with the <br />League, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 612, Sec. 7 of the 1980 Laws does not take <br />effect until it has been approved by the county or subdivision in <br />compliance with Minnesota Statute 9 645.021; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of <br />the City of Rosevi11e, Minnesota, that it hereby gives its approval <br />to Chapter 612, Sec. 7 of the 1980 laws, and in so doing is in <br />compliance with Minnesota Statute 9 645.021. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution <br />was duly seconded by Member Kehr and upon a vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor: All present <br />and the following against: N <br />one <br />
