EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA HELD - October 13, 1980 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Rosevi11e, Minnesota, was held in the City Hall in said City on Monday, the 13th day of October, 1980, at 7:30 o'c10ck p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Demos, Councilmen Curley, Kehr, Franke and Anderson and the following were absent: None Councilman Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 7044 WHEREAS, the 1980 Legislature passed Chapter 612, Sec. 7, dealing with the Ramsey County League of Local Government; and WHEREAS, Chapter 612, Sec. 7 of the 1980 Laws now allows Ramsey County, watershed districts, soil and conservation districts, school districts and other governmental subdivisions lying in whole or in part within Ramsey County to participate in the organization of the Ramsey County League of Local Government and to be members thereof; and WHEREAS, Chapter 612, Sec. 7 of the 1980 Laws now allow for the determination of dues based upon the Metropolitan Council population estimates rather than on Federal Census figures, and allow Ramsey County and other governmental subdivisions other than cities and towns to have their dues determined through negotiations with the League, and WHEREAS, Chapter 612, Sec. 7 of the 1980 Laws does not take effect until it has been approved by the county or subdivision in compliance with Minnesota Statute 9 645.021; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of Rosevi11e, Minnesota, that it hereby gives its approval to Chapter 612, Sec. 7 of the 1980 laws, and in so doing is in compliance with Minnesota Statute 9 645.021. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Kehr and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: All present and the following against: N one
