January 5, 2011
TO: Members of the GLWMO
FROM: Tom Petersen
SUBJECT: Invoice from Ramsey County
Public Works for Well Sampling Services
Attached is an invoice from Ramsey County Public Works in the amount of $648.11. The
Ramsey County Public Works Department, Environmental Services Division performed
the third and final groundwater sampling event at the Shoreview pervious roadway
project near the northeast corner of Lake Owasso. The final sampling event took place in
June of 2010 with the data being submitted to the City of Shoreview.
The GLWMO approved reimbursing the RCD for three sampling events at its summer
2009 meeting. RCD staff performed two of the three sampling events and due to the loss
of the RCD's Groundwater Specialist in early 2010, Ramsey County agreed to perform
the last scheduled sampling event. The RCD has been reimbursed by GLWMO
previously for the first two sampling events.
The County's bill includes: I. Reimbursement for 8.75 hours of labor by County staff
person Al Rupnow; 2. Standard "labor additive" which includes staff benefits paid to
County employees prorated to the number of hours; 3. Overhead costs to operate the
County prorated to the number of hours (accounting, billing, administration, etc.);
4. Equipment rental (truck) for 7 hours.
