Management Plan. It was unanticipated that the four map figures contained in the 2001
version of the Plan were no longer available because the technology utilized to create
these figures is not compatible with the current mapping technology. To include and
update the four maps contained in the 2001 version of the Plan, as required by State rules,
will require additional data and GIS work at a cost of $1,505. Member Miller questioned
whether the GLWMO will own the data and GIS files need to produce the new maps.
Camilla Correll of EOR stated that the data will be the property of the GLWMO.
Motion 11 -02 -02
Member Miller moved, Member Westerberg second Approve reimbursing EOR for the
added costs of generating 4 new map figures for the 3rd Generation Watershed
Management Plan in the amount of $1,505.00. All voted in favor.
Date for the 3rd Special Stakeholders' Meeting
Chair pro tem Eckman explained that the previously established tentative date for the 3rd
Special Stakeholders' Meeting must be changed from March 10 to March 22 because
EOR staff is unavailable on the 10th.
Motion 11 -02 -03
Moved by Member Miller, second by Member Westerberg Change the 3 rd Special
Stakerholders's meeting to Tuesday, March 22 2011 from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the
Roseville City Hall. Andrea Plevan from EOR explained the program,
currently being offered by the MPCA, to perform TMDL studies for water resources
suspected as being "Impaired" for nutrients. Preliminary data shows that Lakes Emily
and Judy will show impairment for nutrients. It was determined that the GLWMO should
take advantage of this opportunity to leverage State funding for the necessary analysis of
the aforementioned Lakes. Member Westerberg suggested that Lake Owasso be added to
the MPCA study request because of its hydrologic connection to the mentioned Lakes
and the high probability that Owasso may also be impaired for nutrients.
Motion 11 -02 -04
Member Miller moved, second by Member Westerberg Pursue funding from the MPCA
for complete TMDL studies for Lake Judy, Lake Emily, and Bennett Lake, and for a
complete watershed assessment to provide protection measures for Lake Owasso. All
voted in favor.
Motion 11 -02 -05
Member Miller moved, second by Member Westerberg- to adjourn the meeting at 3:15
PM.
