<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />HELD - April 27, 1981 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Roseville, met in regular session at the City Hall on <br />Monday, April 27,1981, at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Demos, Councilmen <br />Franke, Johnson, Kehr and Curley <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Councilman Curley <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7145 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County has for the past several' years provided <br />funds for the installation of emergency vehicle pre-emptive systems <br />on traffic signals under the jurisdiction of Ramsey County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, they have also approved Resolution No. 79-944 establish- <br />ing that when such County participation of the installation of the <br />facility occurs, that the City shall have to pay the entire cost for <br />not only the emergency pre-emptive system, but the traffic signal system <br />as well; and further, that the City would reimburse the County for all <br />maintenance costs involved with the emergency pre-emptive system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such a system of funding places a disproportionate <br />burden on the cities in relationship to the actual costs involved; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has been requested to consider <br />additional such installations in 1981, <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville City Council <br />requests the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners to reconsider its <br />funding arrangements for emergency vehicle pre-emptive systems set <br />forth in its resolution No. 79-944, adopted August 20, 1979, to bring <br />such policy into a more proportionate relationship to the costs <br />involved. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />duly seconded by Member Kehr and upon vote being taken thereon, <br />the following voted in favor thereof: All; and the following opposed: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
