EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA HELD - April 27, 1981 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Roseville, met in regular session at the City Hall on Monday, April 27,1981, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Demos, Councilmen Franke, Johnson, Kehr and Curley and the following were absent: None Councilman Curley and moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution RESOLUTION NO. 7145 WHEREAS, Ramsey County has for the past several' years provided funds for the installation of emergency vehicle pre-emptive systems on traffic signals under the jurisdiction of Ramsey County; and WHEREAS, they have also approved Resolution No. 79-944 establish- ing that when such County participation of the installation of the facility occurs, that the City shall have to pay the entire cost for not only the emergency pre-emptive system, but the traffic signal system as well; and further, that the City would reimburse the County for all maintenance costs involved with the emergency pre-emptive system; and WHEREAS, such a system of funding places a disproportionate burden on the cities in relationship to the actual costs involved; and WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has been requested to consider additional such installations in 1981, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville City Council requests the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners to reconsider its funding arrangements for emergency vehicle pre-emptive systems set forth in its resolution No. 79-944, adopted August 20, 1979, to bring such policy into a more proportionate relationship to the costs involved. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Kehr and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All; and the following opposed: None. WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
